Welcome to Bower on the Bowman, our cozy and comfortable tiny home located on the picturesque Bowman River near the towns of Barrington and Gloucester. Nestled at the footsteps of Barrington Tops, Gloucester Tops, and Copeland Tops National Parks, our tiny home offers a perfect getaway to reconnect with nature and experience the rich history and heritage of the area. Our tiny home, air-conditioned for your comfort, is composed of one separate bedroom, a fully equipped kitchen with a fridge, microwave, dishwasher, and a bathroom, including an outside bath, all with hot water. Towels and bed linen are available in the tiny home.

As you explore the park-like grounds, you may be greeted by friendly kangaroos and black-footed wallabies feeding in the morning sun. Keep an eye out for the elusive platypus in the river, they can often be spotted in the early morning hours. Our property is also home to a variety of birdlife, including lorikeets, rosellas, kookaburras, black cockatoos, bellbirds, and even tiny blue wrens.

The original inhabitants of the region were the Worrimi people, who lived off the land and the river for thousands of years. As you stay with us, take a moment to appreciate the history and heritage of the area.

John McRae, a pioneer of the Australian Agricultural Company, owned the land on which Bower on the Bowman sits. His grandparents, Mr Donald McRae and Mrs Eliza McRae (nee Moffatt), were among the first settlers in the district, engaged as shepherds for the historic Australian Agricultural Company. They originally came from Inverness in Scotland. John’s parents, Duncan and Flora, were early settlers at Barrington, and his mother, Flora Grant, was a daughter of the late Mr and Mrs Hugh Grant, another of the hardy Scotch pioneering families from the Isle of Skye.
